چکیده

Semi-relativistic approach is employed to compute the differential and integrated cross sections, spin polarization P and the spin polarization parameters T and U for the scattering of electrons from barium and strontium atoms in the energy range from 2.0-300 eV. The projectile-target interaction is represented both by real and complex optical potential in the solution of Dirac equation for the scattered electrons. The real optical potential includes the static, a parameter free correlation polarization and a modified semi classical exchange potentials. The complex optical potential is constructed by adding a model absorption potential as its imaginary part to the real optical potential PACS: 34.80.Bm; 34.80.Nz

Theoretical study of low - ener ~ y positron scattering on alkaline - earth atoms in the relativistic polarized orbital approximation

The elastic low-energy positron scattering on Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba and Ra atoms has been investigated at energies below 100 eV. The ab initio calculated polarization potentials applied in these calculations were obtained by solving the coupled Dirac-Hartree-Fock equations. Comparison between present results and those of previous model calculations shows serious discrepancies. Particularly, we do ...

Measurement of the Proton Form Factor Ratio GE/GM from Double Spin Asymmetries

Detailed study of the nucleons is very important to understand the nucleus. Electron-Proton scattering is the best tool to probe the nucleus and hence deep into it. In the One-Photon exchange (Born) approximation, the structure of the nucleon characterized by electric and magnetic form factors, GE(Q ) and GM(Q ), which depend only on momentum transfer squared, Q. At Q=0, the proton form factors...

Elastic electron scattering from methane at high momentum transfer

We describe elastic electron scattering data at high momentum transfer (between ≈20 and ≈40 au) from methane and Xe. Under these conditions there is a significant recoil energy transferred to the target and electrons scattered elastically from methane are separated into two peaks: one due to electrons scattered from carbon, and one due to electrons scattered from hydrogen. The separation of the...

The radiation reaction effects in the BMT model of spinning charge and the radiation polarization phenomenon

The effect of radiation polarization (RP) attended with the motion of spinning charge in the magnetic field could be viewed through the classical theory of selfinteraction. The quantum expression for the polarization time follows from semiclassical relation TQED ∼ ~ c/μBω c , and needs quantum explanation neither for the orbit nor for the spin motion. In our approach the polarization emerges as...

Spectrum Estimation of Density Operators with Alkaline-Earth Atoms.

We show that Ramsey spectroscopy of fermionic alkaline-earth atoms in a square-well trap provides an efficient and accurate estimate for the eigenspectrum of a density matrix whose n copies are stored in the nuclear spins of n such atoms. This spectrum estimation is enabled by the high symmetry of the interaction Hamiltonian, dictated, in turn, by the decoupling of the nuclear spin from the ele...
